Summer camp — an annual event for many children and just a dream for many others.
Every summer each of our six Atlantic Camps receive requests from families for financial assistance to send their children to camp. The requests are always greater than the funds. Many times our camps use already tight operating funds so that no child misses out on camp.
Out of a desire to help children and teens attend one of our camps, the Cycle for Campers fundraiser was born. In three years (2007, 2008, 2009), I've cycled over 2,000 km along with Neil Craig in NB and Eric Neil in NL. So far, over 130 campers have been sponsored.
Our goal is not only to finish, but to raise $100 scholarships for needy campers wishing to attend camp. If you would like to sponsor us or ride along for part of the trip (whether just to encourage us or getting sponsors of your own), please get in touch.
